The nonprofit Clapp House Preservation, Inc. was formed in 2022 when the Increase Clapp House was donated (with no accompanying endowment) to the town of South Windsor. A 6-person Board of Directors was named to guide the nonprofit in May of 2022, and since that time has worked tirelessly to establish itself as an active, focused organization, committed to realizing its mission:

Clapp House Preservation, Inc., seeks to conserve, preserve, and repurpose the historic 1808 Increase Clapp house located at 59 Sullivan Avenue, South Windsor, CT; to enhance an important “gateway” to the town of South Windsor; and to remind future generations and visitors alike of the town’s commitment to honoring its rich heritage.
